TENNIS ZONE
PROPOSAL

By Rocky Warner

Enhanced Brand Visibility and Engagement
As part of its continued commitment to elevating fan experiences and expanding the reach of the IPTA Women’s Tour, The Overhead Foundation, Inc. proposes the creation of an interactive Tennis Zone—a dynamic, on-site engagement space designed to captivate audiences of all ages. Whether implemented on regulation courts or through a fun and accessible Mini Tennis format, the Tennis Zone offers a unique platform for brand recognition and visibility, family-friendly engagement, and expanded corporate sponsorship opportunities. Most importantly, it fosters meaningful interactions between fans and players, turning each tour stop into an immersive celebration of the sport.

A Moving Mission Through Strategic Benefits
The miniature tennis court adds a highly interactive and engaging element to the tour stops, allowing fans, especially young players, to experience the sport firsthand in a fun and casual environment. This creates an entry point for new players to fall in love with tennis and allows the IPTA Tour to promote tennis and facilitate healthy activation in between matches in an entertaining way. Demonstrations by coaches and players, quick matches, and skill-based games can keep the energy high and excitement alive, particularly for families that patron the IPTA Tour.

FAN Retention
By utilizing the miniature tennis court, the IPTA Tour can promote the tour by providing fun family oriented activities at each stop. with either the foam balls or red balls every IPTA patron or participant can be incentivized to experience the Tennis Zone, where they can receive tips, resources, and rewards for their involvement. The hands-on experience for tournament goers and the ability for parents to see the joy of tennis in action is critical in building long-term engagement and retention. This system offers valuable incentives such as give-aways, sponsorship opportunities (That increase revenue), and exclusive access to event communities, which will encourage further participation in IPTA Tour programs.

Sustained System of Involvement
This initiative helps create a sustained and scalable model of engagement that goes beyond just tennis. By offering ongoing incentives and rewards for IPTA Fans including parents, and players both young and old, the IPTA fosters a network that encourages continual participation within the community that will help build and raise funds for university tennis programs and the community. Participants, often the youngest participants, benefit from a consistent pathway that promotes fun play and skill development, thus supporting retention and long-term involvement in tennis.

Revenue Generation and Support for Local Programs
The Tennis Zone not only serves as a promotional tool but also generates revenue that can be reinvested into grassroots tennis programs as well as college players. This revenue stream could support scholarships, equipment donations, and community programs that directly benefit local tennis communities at each tour stop. Additionally, proceeds could be used to fund regional tournaments or support underrepresented groups in tennis, further strengthening the IPTA Tour's community outreach efforts.

Direct Feedback and
Market Research
Each IPTA Tour stop presents an opportunity to gather valuable on-the-ground feedback from players, parents, and coaches. The Tennis Zone miniature court setup will allow the IPTA to collect insights into what products and programs resonate most with their audience, ensuring that future modeling and retail offerings are tailored to meet the needs of their diverse customer base.

Increased Accessibility
and Inclusivity
This initiative can help address accessibility issues in tennis, particularly for communities and universities where tennis is less prevalent. The Tennis Zone makes tennis approachable for those who may not have access to a full-sized court, introducing the sport to new demographics and helping break down barriers to entry. The IPTA can host pop-up fun activation zones and beginner-friendly competition, expanding its reach and fostering inclusivity across the country. This can also open the door for corporate sponsorship.

Direct Alignment with the Culture of Tennis
The Tennis Zone embodies the inclusive and dynamic culture of tennis by creating a welcoming space where fans can actively participate in the sport, regardless of age or skill level. By offering both traditional and Mini Tennis formats, the zone mirrors the accessibility and community spirit that are central to tennis’s global appeal. This initiative not only enhances the live event experience but also supports the broader mission of growing the game at the grassroots level—sparking interest in young players and fostering a lifelong passion for the sport.
Much like how Arthur Ashe Kids' Day has evolved into a marquee event through strong corporate backing and high-profile entertainment—including performances by global artists such as Rihanna—the Tennis Zone has the potential to scale into a major attraction on the IPTA Women’s Tour. By connecting fans to the game in a hands-on, memorable way, it lays the foundation for sustained enthusiasm and loyalty toward future IPTA events, cultivating a deeper, more engaged tennis community.
